Our history begins in the distant year of 1947, when the founder established FRANCIA LUCIANO, a company specialising in transmission chains and auto parts, along the Via Emilia, at the entrance to the city of Bologna.
FRANCIA e CATENE: an inseparable pair
From 1947 to the present day, the company has transformed and evolved, adapting to the times, specialising more and more in mechanical transmission, particularly in roller chains. So much so as to be now known in the market as FRANCIA CATENE.
The 2022 catalogue. Pioneers in the distribution of technical supports.In 1965 we produced our first customised catalogue, a unique example for a retailer at the time. It was a success among manufacturing companies, technical offices, craftsmen, and universities, and this is why we have renewed it over time with new editions.
This latest edition of 2022 - completely revised and expanded with new products - comes after the inauguration of the new headquarters in Castel Maggiore (BO), the fourth in 75 years of activity.
Mechanical and power transmission is at the focus of our specialisation.
We are distributors of a wide range of products and technical accessories coming only from Italian partners of proven construction quality.
Our assets have been known for a long time and by many customers, because our history and technical expertise have developed in a traditionally mechanical and manufactory territory, that encompasses all sectors and all industrial applications. Basically, we know them and work with them all.
